Another great day in Singapore! After an indulgent buffet brunch in the hotel we checked out of our room and headed via the super-efficient underground system, the MRT, to Harbourfront. The trains are cleaner, cooler and better maintained than London tube trains and all signage is in an impressive 4 languages (English, Malay, Cantonese and Tamil). The children loved the fact that a light indicates which side will open at the next stop. From Harbourfront we took a cable car ride across to Sentosa island, drinking in all the sites - wave machines, theme parks, bungee jumping and beaches.
In the centre of Sentosa is a giant lion. It is quite iconic. We forgot to take a picture of it! We did spot an interesting visitor on the roof of the information office!
We left the cable car at the second exit and spent some time exploring the SEA aquarium. The seahorses and starfish were our particular favourites! The sharks were pretty impressive as well.
Back in the cable car for a spot of last minute sightseeing before freshening up and heading to the airport...
...where we were greeted by a Millenium Falcon (OK, I probably got that wrong but I'm positive it's not the Deathstar.) JOSH EDIT: IT'S AN X-WING!
We bid a sad farewell to Singapore and our lovely friends before beginning the next part of our adventure!!
