We woke up at 920 after an interesting night. At 1am, a child who shall remain nameless decided to use the hotel room for circuit training and the rest of us were woken by a very excited squeaking shape running up and down in front of the beds. A couple of hours later she was all puffed out and we managed to grab some rest!
After coffee and pastries, Fay and her gang met us down by the river and we took a short but very scenic boat trip to soak up some Singaporean atmosphere.
We disembarked close to the Fullerton hotel and peeked in at a typical Singaporean champagne brunch, it looked very yummy and very lively! We wandered into the lobby to have a look around. It reminded us of something out of a Bond movie, there were even about 40 carp swimming around in an indoor pond! We sampled some delicious gingerbread then headed out for some more drizzly exploring.
New BFFs?

More noodles for lunch, this time of the Thai variety, then a quick mooch around one of the many many shopping malls! Back to Fay's for (very) high tea - they live super high up in a gorgeous place - with G&T's and cake in honour of Jonathan's birthday. The boys played FIFA 14 whilst we chased the super cute fluffy feline Nala and caught up with little Bailey.
Sad farewells were exchanged (Nush and and Fay only see each other every 2 or 3 years these days) before we headed back for an evening swim in the hotel pool (Nush went for a run - she's weird.) When it became too dark to see we went inside to shower and change for dinner.
Abigail looking a bit stunned by her dinner!
We took an after-dinner stroll around the streets near our hotel to look at the Singapore-style Christmas lights which were pretty spectacular. The streets were bustling, even at 1030pm, as locals swarmed to the malls for last minute Christmas shopping! Oh and there may have been some late night ice cream too!!
