A bounce and a splash!

The sun was shining this morning and we ate our breakfast bathed in a glorious warm light. Nush's oldest friend Sylvie (she's not like 108 or anything, they've just known each other for over 25 years)  came and picked us all up and drove us to SkyZone, an awesome trampolining park. We jumped and somersaulted for just over an hour and by midday we were thoroughly worn out!! There were loads of different zones and the kids could have happily stayed there all day...

The before shot...

Nush and Sylvie:

We stopped by our house to get swimming things then made our way down to Bronte beach for some lunch in an oceanside cafe.

The afternoon was all about the beach and some serious paddling in the sea- the current was a little too strong for much swimming but we all made a good attempt at wave jumping and sunning ourselves (except Nush , who is the only person we know who is genuinely allergic to the sun - it's just weird and a bit gross - she's been walking round with an umbrella attached to her!)

When we'd all had about as much sun as we could take we hopped back in Sylvie's car and drove back to our little home for snacks and showers.

In the evening, Louis and Abi had Lise's delicious homemade meatballs whilst the adults all got ready to go out. The babysitter arrived, armed with UNO, and the grown ups piled into a taxi headed for Woolloomoolo and the sea front. A short stroll down the water's edge brought us to Russell Crowe's apartment and some impressive naval ships. Our friends Alice and Dave joined Lise, Cahn and us at the restaurant for cocktails followed by a really great dinner at Otto Ristorante. You just can't beat Barramundi and Bellinis with old friends overlooking the city and the sea!!

A midnight transfer of sleeping children from one house to another finished off the night with a giggle and hug.
